Application Process
There is no cost to apply to or attend Imagine Me Leadership Charter School. IMLCS is
a free public charter school serving students in grades Pre-K-8th grade.
You can apply for:

​The Lottery: is for students who will be in Pre-K and Kindergarten for Fall 2023

The Waitlist: is for students who will be in any grade, Pre-K-8th, for the 2023-2024 school year

Eligibility
Imagine Me Leadership Charter School is open to all residents of New York City. Children entering Pre-K must turn four on or before December 31st of their enrollment year. Kindergarteners must turn five on or before December 31st of their enrollment year. We are proud to serve all students – including those with special needs and English language learners.

Does IMLCS provide transportation?IMLCS provides transportation to eligible families. Our school Is MTA friendly! Our school is off of the 3 train at the Van Siclen stop with student metro cards for eligible grades. You can access our school from these bus routes: B6, B15, B20, and B83.

What are the school times?IMLCS school day Is from 7:45 am -3:30 pm. After-School starting from 3:30 pm-5:30 pm

IMLCS used to be an all-boys school, are you accepting girls this year?YES! This year we are welcoming girls into IMLCS! We are now accepting girls going into all grades Pre K through 8th!

How long does it take until I receive a decision?Families should hear back from IMLCS within 1-2 business days. Families are free to call and to email, enrollment@imlcs.org for more questions regarding their application.

What documents are needed to enroll?Once families have completed the application and received a decision, families can either email the documents to enrollment@imlcs.org or bring them to our Recruitment Specialist at our campus. Those documents needed are: Previous report card for students entering Into grade 1-8 Student's IEP and/or 5O4 Accommodations if applicable Student's birth certificate Students's Immunization records Student's physical exams Parent/Guardian photo ID Proof of address
